About the Clinical Educator Role

This is a part-time ongoing position within the mental health services department. The successful candidate will work closely with the nursing education team to promote excellence in mental health nursing practice by fostering a culture of continuous learning.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide educational leadership and guidance to enable the development of knowledge and skills in entry-level, and developing and experienced mental health nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills to influence quality care and initiate evidence-based practice in the in-patient mental health setting.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant professional body.
  • Evidence of extensive experience in acute adolescent mental health.
  • Postgraduate diploma in Mental Health Nursing or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles.
