Procurement Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced procurement specialist to join our project delivery team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing procurement activities for capital projects, specifically in the areas of materials management, planning, and construction.

  • Provide expertise in coordinating and overseeing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of project objectives.
  • Implement and execute the materials responsibility matrix with all involved project disciplines, ensuring agreement on division of responsibilities between client, EPCM firm, contractors, and partners.
  • Setup and deploy project procurement system environment, including deployment of materials management modules and reporting functionalities.
  • Maintain interfacing of engineering design tools with the materials management system.
About the Role

The successful applicant will provide operational direction to support control and tracking of equipment/materials for materials management related activities of engineering, procurement, and construction via respective discipline leads, including Lead Planner.

Assure mutual understanding among all procurement discipline leads during purchasing, fabrication, shipment/delivery to site, material receipt, storage, and finally free issue to contractor for installation.

About You
  • Extensive experience in an EPCM project environment on capital projects, specifically in one or more areas under the material management discipline.
  • Excellent experience with and knowledge of materials management systems and their setup, implementation, support, and utilization.
  • Technical knowledge/understanding.
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling, construction, and constructability issues with relevant systems.
  • Knowledge of stock coding, equipment/materials identification methods, and specification development of systems.
  • Knowledge of required standard procurement reporting specifications and best practices in respect to procurement discipline requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance principles.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
  • Experience working on large construction sites.
  • Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions.
