Job Title: Senior Accounting Professional

About the Role:

This pivotal position plays a crucial role in managing client portfolios, providing expert advice, and delivering high-quality accounting services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, primarily within the finance industry, including partnerships, self-managed super funds, trusts, and companies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and other compliance documents.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on a range of accounting and taxation matters.
  • Assist with advisory projects, including strategic financial planning and FBT, GST, Div 7A, Section 100A and Division 296 tax-related advice.
  • Mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, and industry developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of five years of public practice accounting experience for the senior role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero and/or Class.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws and accounting standards.
  • Experience with FBT, GST, Div 7A, and Section 100A.
