Childcare CookWe are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate cook to plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for children at our centre. Our brand-new, purpose-built centre is designed to accommodate up to 130 children from birth to five years.The successful candidate will work as part of a team, building strong relationships with educators, children, and families. Key skills and qualifications include:
  • A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Relevant Commercial Cookery Certificates
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing healthy, nutritious meals for children of all ages
  • Current Asthma and First Aid Certificates
The role involves planning and preparing meals, ensuring presentation is appealing to all children, adhering to health, hygiene, and safety procedures, and consulting with families regarding nutritional requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Bringing core values to life in everyday practice
  • Ensuring food provisions meet menu requirements
  • Regulating kitchen equipment temperatures and managing record keeping
  • Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
  • Leading and mentoring other kitchen staff
