Parks Operative Job Description

We are seeking experienced individuals to join our parks team as Parks Operatives. This role is responsible for providing quality-based maintenance services to Council's parks, gardens, and public trees in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out park maintenance tasks as directed by the Parks Coordinator or Team Leader.
  • Maintenance of trees, gardens, and public spaces.
  • Removal of weeds and rubbish.
  • Repairing park furniture and equipment.
  • Cleansing services and operating relevant plant and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A current MR Drivers Licence.
  • General Construction WHS (White Card).
  • Knowledge of Horticultural practices (desirable but not essential).
  • Hold relevant licence or certificate in bobcat, frontend loader, chainsaw operations, backhoe, excavator (desirable but not essential).
