Job Summary

The Maintenance Officer provides quality property support and maintenance services to all clients and to the site as a whole under supervision.

This is a permanent full-time role working in a supportive team environment with direct reporting to the Area Manager.

  • Managing/coordinating minor property works or equipment upgrades on the site in consultation with the Property Area Manager and Residential Manager.
  • Liaising with contractors tradespersons suppliers and volunteers as required ensuring that all contractors are inducted into the contractor safety program and clearly identifiable in the facility.
  • Ensuring maintenance is undertaken in accordance with the work orders issued through the connection management system including both reactive and preventative tasks.
  • Conducting basic fixing/repairing that are required inside and outside the property.
  • Assisting with physical inspections of property and premises.
  • Assisting with coverage on other sites when site's staff is on leave.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate minor property works

  • Work closely with the Property Area Manager and Residential Manager to ensure effective delivery of property works.

Develop and maintain relationships with contractors

  • Liaise with contractors tradespersons suppliers and volunteers as required.

Ensure compliance with safety standards

  • Induct contractors into the contractor safety program.

Provide excellent customer service

  • Deliver high-quality property support and maintenance services to clients.
Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months trade experience.
  • Previous experience in similar roles in building maintenance/property management.

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to achieve goals within set time frames.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation regulations and accreditation requirements.

Additional Requirements

  • A valid Driver's License.
