The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Lake Illawarra through impactful storytelling and strategic messaging. As the lead communications officer, you will drive awareness and community engagement around the lake's natural assets, highlighting their importance in preserving environmental values and preparing communities for climate change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive communications strategies aligned with council priorities
- Create engaging content for web, social media, and print platforms that brings environmental initiatives to life
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to foster community participation and support media relations
- Monitor engagement metrics and prepare reports to inform strategy and decision-making
About You:
You are a skilled communicator with a passion for the environment and a talent for crafting compelling stories from complex ideas. You possess:
