Project Coordinator Role

The Opportunity:

This is a challenging opportunity to lead and coordinate all activities required to ensure Defence vessel programs are delivered on time and in accordance with contractual requirements.

You will establish a multi-disciplined team and drive performance through functional enablement to deliver on project objectives.

Your focus will be on ensuring that appropriate project management methodology and control is deployed whilst providing leadership to the project team to ensure deliverables are achieved safely and to the required quality standards.

  • Enable and empower project team members to deliver to cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Ensure that suitable project management tools and techniques are developed and deployed to manage the project.
  • Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for the project.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand their expectations and requirements.
  • Develop and implement project plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as needed.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of demonstrable Project Management experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience working in performance-based contracting.
  • Previous experience managing Defence or Commercial contracts.
Desirable Qualifications:

In addition to the above, it would be advantageous if you have:

  • Previous experience in Maritime Maintenance Operations - Marine/Ship Repair.
  • Project management experience in the Shipbuilding/Repair Industry.
  • Project Management certification from a professional body.
  • Demonstrable experience with Ship Management.
  • A degree or trade qualification in a recognized maritime discipline.
