The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Supervisor to lead our minor works projects team, ensuring high-quality tenders and quotations while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

About the Role

  • Develop and submit high-quality tenders and quotations for minor works projects.
  • Prepare tender documentation that adheres to departmental and industry standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Utilise computer-based estimating packages for client quotations and estimates, streamlining the process and enhancing productivity.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of estimates, quotations, material lists, and construction programs, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to meet project requirements, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to HR practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, and workplace health and safety standards.

About You

  • Strong building and construction trade background, with experience in Estimating and contract management.
  • High proficiency with computer-based estimating software, with ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Clean Criminal History is mandatory, and a current Car License is required for travel.
  • Residency in Cairns or surrounding area within reasonable driving distance is necessary, allowing for efficient project management and site visits.
