Role Overview

This role is focused on equipping eligible clients with the support they need to improve their social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being, and community connectedness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing case management support to clients, addressing priority areas as identified in relevant frameworks.
- Facilitating referrals to support clients' journey towards improved outcomes.
- Developing relationships with key stakeholders to enhance service coordination and avoid duplication.
- Collaborating with team members to initiate and facilitate projects, group-work, and activities aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of newly arrived individuals.
- Contributing to monitoring and evaluation of programs to ensure they are relevant and responsive to changing client needs.
- Participating in networks, trainings, forums, and conferences to advocate for clients and promote services.
Key Requirements
- Experience supporting people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
- Demonstrated skills/experience in casework/case management, conducting needs assessments, developing and reviewing case plans, providing information, referral, advice, and case co-ordination.
- Strong familiarity of systemic and structural barriers faced by new and emerging communities in Australia.
- Strong administration and time management skills, with ability to prioritize and work to deadlines with attention to detail.
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed manner within an ethno-specific environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Appropriate tertiary diploma/certificate qualification in community services/case management or other relevant qualifications.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current Victorian Driver's license.
- Willingness to undertake a police check and provide evidence of current influenza and full COVID-19 vaccinations.
