Administrative Support Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a State Government department based south of the river.
Your New Responsibilities
As an experienced Administrator you will be responsible for taking on a range of office duties, in which will support the workflow of a busy team. Your duties will include:
- Liaising with patients, multidisciplinary staff and stakeholders.
- Maximise hospital revenue through eligible admitted patients utilising their private health cover and correct identification and processing of patient financial status.
- Manage patient queries regarding the Private Patient Incentive Program.
- Participates in the maintenance of a safe work environment.
- Undertakes various edit checks and invoice flags on the electronic patient billing system.
- Undertakes other duties as directed.
The Skills You Need
You will also have experience in the following:
- Demonstrate customer service focus and ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of health care financial systems and processes.
- High understanding of Excel.
- Ability to maintain high work standards and meet deadlines and high organisation skills.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Previous government experience (in a health environment) desirable.
