Support Services Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Services Employee to join our team at Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT. As a Support Services Employee, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents in a residential care setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with a full range of domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents.
- Perform laundry and housekeeping tasks, including cleaning picture frames, wall ornaments, and sanitizing towel dispensers and light switches.
- Prepare clothing, garments, and linen for washing and drying, and perform those duties using safe handling of laundry chemicals.
- Make beds, change linen, and turn mattresses as necessary.
- Wet dust picture frames and wall ornaments, and wet wipe and sanitize towel dispensers, light switches, and air-conditioning switches.
- Clean exhaust hoods in the kitchen.

- A current NSW Driver License.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly in a residential care setting.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of workplace safety.
- Experience as a Maintenance Person in Aged Care or similar industry is desirable.
- Able to provide evidence of COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.
