About the Role

The Physiotherapist will provide a culturally appropriate therapy service including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of clients. This involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support the care and developmental needs of Aboriginal clients in the Northern Territory.

Key responsibilities include providing a contemporary, evidence-based Physiotherapist service, including assessment, treatment, planning, and evaluation for people presenting with a wide range of conditions. Additionally, the Physiotherapist must effectively communicate with a multidisciplinary team, including clients and external service providers, to ensure external stakeholder services are provided to clients.

Furthermore, the Physiotherapist will identify opportunities to improve processes, quality, and service delivery outcomes. To be successful in this role, applicants must have a tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A minimum of 2 years working experience with Adult Case Load is also required, along with demonstrated knowledge of varied Physiotherapy methods of assessment, treatment, and evaluation.

High level oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage a clinical case load and time effectively, are essential. The Physiotherapist must also demonstrate commitment to confidentiality and accuracy. Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers, are also necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
