Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Community Engagement Specialist to join our project team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external communications, developing a regular program of stakeholder contacts, and implementing a systematic complaints handling procedure.

This is a full-time opportunity based in Batlow (Snowy Valleys) area, with relocation or FIFO considered for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a community engagement strategy to build trust and reliability among stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external communications to ensure effective information exchange
  • Develop and implement a complaints handling procedure to address stakeholder concerns
  • Consult with the project team to identify and anticipate community concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience on large infrastructure projects in a similar role
  • Good communication and writing skills to prepare various communication materials
  • Organizational skills and effective time management
  • Problem-solving and conflict management abilities
  • Team player with positive and confident approach to working with people
