Regional Outreach Coordinator Position

HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project connecting Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of Australia's eastern states' electricity network.

The HumeLink West scope includes delivering new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning 130kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to Gugaa, with an interface point near Gundagai and a substation at Maragle for future connection to Snowy 2.0.

Job Overview

This role supports community engagement programs in the project area and manages internal and external communications.

The position will be based in Batlow (Snowy Valleys) area for the duration of the project supporting the HumeLink West delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a regular stakeholder contact program to build trust and reliability through action
  • Establish a systematic complaints handling procedure, developing action plans and monitoring progress and outcomes
  • Understand and implement contractual requirements related to the community and stakeholders
  • Consult with the Project Team to identify and anticipate community concerns and facilitate priorities and requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience on large infrastructure projects in a similar role
  • Effective communication skills, including dealing with the public regarding various issues
  • Strong writing skills to prepare diverse communication materials for internal and external audiences
  • Developed organisational skills and effective time management
  • Problem solving and conflict management abilities
  • A positive and confident approach to working with people
