Lead Care Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced healthcare professional to lead our care team at an Arcare residence. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the care team within a specific unit, ensuring that residents receive compassionate and competent care.
About the Role
- Provide comprehensive and individualized care to residents, addressing their medical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff, to ensure effective delivery of care services.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
- Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
Skills and Experience Required
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- ICL Qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
- Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
- Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
