We are seeking an Aboriginal Research Associate or Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ORCHID Study, a research project focused on improving Aboriginal health outcomes in rural and remote Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the ORCHID Study team to co-design and trial management strategies for pregnant Aboriginal women with prediabetes.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of simplified screening approaches for high blood glucose levels in pregnancy.
- Collaborate with participating communities and their health services to ensure the study's success.
- Knowledge and deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and society.
- Highly developed interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience and skills in research, including community research design, analysis, and reporting.
