Research Associate

We are seeking an experienced Research Associate or Research Fellow to join our team at the University of Western Australia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research, particularly in the area of Aboriginal health.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in Aboriginal health, including community-based research and data analysis.
- Collaborate with the ORCHID Study team to co-design and trial management strategies for pregnant Aboriginal women with prediabetes.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of simplified screening approaches for high blood glucose levels in pregnancy.
- Work with Aboriginal women and their families to co-design and trial management strategies for pregnant Aboriginal women with prediabetes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal communities and health services.
- Knowledge and deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and society, and health and wellbeing.
- Highly developed interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
- Prior experience and skills in research, including community research design, analysis and reporting.
