**Job Summary**
The University of Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to contribute to and coordinate experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of transcriptomic and genomic experiments.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of experimental design and protocols for transcriptomic and genomic experiments.
- Coordinate data analysis and interpretation of experimental results.
- Collaborate with the Associate Professor to ensure the successful completion of research projects.
- Develop and maintain high-quality research skills, including data analysis and interpretation.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and academic publications.
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications.
**Requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualification in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to participating in high-quality research, evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles published in respected scholarly journals.
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to staff and students at all levels and evidence of a commitment to equity and diversity principles.
- Understanding of molecular biology concepts.
- Demonstrated experience working with high-throughput sequencing platforms, including genomics, transcriptomics (bulk and single-cell RNA-seq).
- Demonstrated capacity to prepare reports, presentations, and academic publications.
