Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Chief Academic Officer to join our dynamic leadership team at Coomera State Special School. As a key member, you will be responsible for driving academic growth and supporting the development of teachers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Principal to develop and implement school-wide initiatives focused on improving student outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to middle leaders, teachers, and support staff to enhance their knowledge and skills
- Lead the implementation of Comprehensive Literacy and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) pedagogical frameworks
- Foster relationships between students, staff, and the wider school community
- Demonstrated experience as a Deputy Principal or similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and management
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and implement evidence-based practices to drive school improvement
- Experience in supporting students with complex communication needs using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- A competitive salary range of $157034 - $159810 per annum
