The Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) is a world-leading research group in computer vision and machine learning. We are seeking to recruit Grant-Funded Researchers at Level B or Level C to work on augmented reasoning machine learning projects.

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a researcher to investigate visual and geometric scene understanding as a means to interact with, query and learn about the environment. The researcher will also explore embodied visual AI in which scene understanding is deployed in physical autonomous systems.

**Responsibilities:*

  • Research the limitations of and extensions to teach-and-repeat and reinforcement learning
  • Investigate the transferability of simulation to real-world scenarios

**Requirements:*

  • PhD in computer science or related discipline
  • Programming experience in Matlab, Python, or C++
  • Expertise in deep learning, SLAM, robotics, artificial intelligence
