Senior Research Fellow (Child Health Services Research) – UNSW
Location: Randwick Clinical Campus, Sydney NSW

Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Duration: 2-year fixed-term contract
Remuneration: Level C $155k - $178k base + 17% Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading
Work rights: Visa sponsorship is available for this position
Responsibilities
Make independent and synergistic contributions to child health research within the Population Child Health (PCH) Research Group at UNSW, including leadership in research strategy, collaboration, and outcomes.
Contribute to high-quality publications, competitive grant acquisition, and meaningful partnerships aimed at improving health service delivery and health outcomes for children and young people.
Collaborate with clinicians, health services, policymakers, and academic partners, and provide mentorship to students, groups and colleagues.
Report to the Professor; no other direct reports.
Qualifications
A PhD in health services research, epidemiology, psychology or non-lab-based child health research.
Proven commitment to staying up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated track record in high-quality, high-impact research with leadership potential.
Experience in translation intervention research is preferred.
Proven ability to generate grant income.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and build effective relationships.
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values and relevant policies and guidelines.
Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to training.
