This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of academic frameworks, ensuring seamless alignment with our strategic goals and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Envision and articulate a compelling future for TAFE SA, formulating clear goals and leading the team toward success through thoughtful decision making and effective communication.
  • Human Resource Management: Implement policies and programs that foster a productive and cooperative working environment, ensuring the well-being of all staff members.
  • Future Focussed: Design learning programs that meet current and future knowledge and skills needs, providing flexibility to offer learning opportunities as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement assessment strategies, monitor academic progress, and address any issues promptly to ensure high-quality education delivery.
  • Industry and Community Relations: Establish and enhance relationships with industries, government agencies, and employer groups, identifying emerging trends and developments to position TAFE SA as leaders in learning.
  • Equal Employment and Education Opportunity: Provide leadership to ensure the principles of equal employment and education opportunity, ethical practice, cultural diversity, and legislative requirements are known and applied by all stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An undergraduate degree in Adult or Vocational Education.
  • A Diploma in Management (Min AQF5) or a Graduate Certificate in Management.
  • Undergraduate degrees in both Adult or Vocational Education and Management.
  • Strong knowledge of educational best practices and current trends.
  • Excellent stakeholder partnering skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, project management, and strategic thinking experience.
  • Trade or relevant professional qualifications and experience.
  • Highly refined interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement educational strategies.
