Global Fire Protection Engineer, Data Center Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to utilize their expertise in designing and implementing fire protection systems for data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop comprehensive fire protection plans for data center projects, ensuring compliance with local codes, NFPA standards, and ICC requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations, to deliver high-quality fire protection solutions.
- Provide expert advice on fire suppression systems, fire alarm and detection systems, fire-resistive construction, and life safety protocols.
- Review and approve designs from third-party vendors, ensuring they meet established design standards and local regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, architects, and engineers, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in design engineering or construction industry.
- Cumulative experience in all aspects of fire protection, including fire suppression systems, fire alarm and detection systems, fire-resistive construction, and life safety.
- Strong knowledge of local codes, NFPA standards, ICC requirements, and other fire protection industry standards, procedures, and methodologies.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS include experience authoring white papers, technical documentation, training materials, Code Modification Requests (CMRs), and Alternate Materials and Methods (AMM) proposals.
- A competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
