About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Planning Manager to join our team in Perth. This is a permanent full-time position that will report to our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and be responsible for project planning and controls.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Pre-contracts Manager and Operations team to support tenders, bids, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Develop and maintain expertise in schedule risk analysis and tender programming.
  2. Produce and manage tender programmes in Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client expectations, and deliverables.
  3. Collaborate with Project Teams to develop tender programmes that meet client requirements.
  4. Optimize working programmes to meet project objectives, covering design, procurement, enabling, construction, commissioning, handover, and client key dates.
  5. Investigate opportunities to improve schedules, labour efficiencies, environmental impacts, and process streamlining.
  6. Establish communication with site teams to receive weekly status updates and physical progress data.
  7. Perform weekly updates of project schedules, communicate critical changes, milestone dates, and highlight delays and potential schedule misses to the project manager.
  8. Prepare look-ahead schedules to support site construction operations.
About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  1. A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience with Tier 1/2 contractors, specializing in detailed construction logic and planning.
  3. Renewable projects experience, particularly in larger-scale PV plants, is highly desirable.
  4. On-site construction experience related to planning, scheduling, progress measurement, earn-value analyses, and reporting.
  5. Proficiency in scheduling software systems, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  6. A sound understanding of project control processes, particularly critical path method, principles of Earn Value system based on tangible quantities, unit rates, and 'Rules of Credits.'
  7. Any additional Project Management or Project Controls certifications are valuable.
