Combat System Architect

The Combat Systems Engineer is a key role in the SEIT team responsible for developing the requirements baseline and delivering updated specifications for the DDG Combat System under the DCE upgrade.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to and executing CS Systems Engineering activities supporting requirements analysis, architecture definition and development of subsystems and associated components.
- Developing, maintaining and updating system functional and non-functional requirements and design artefacts.
- Preparing for and supporting the execution of major program milestones such as design reviews, test readiness and system readiness reviews.
The successful candidate will have experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, methods and tools including DOORS and Rational Publishing Engine. They will also possess substantial experience with Combat System requirements within a maritime context and knowledge of GFX and COTS components.
- Past exposure in the Integration, Test and Evaluation of CS Products into Naval Platforms or equivalent complex Military Systems having challenging constraints.
- Substantial experience working in an engineering project multi-disciplinary environment preferably within the defence industry.
- Experience working with a broad set of internal stakeholders and external partnering organisations to achieve common goals.
