Recreation Venues Manager

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Venues Manager to oversee the operations of three major community-focused recreation venues.

  • This role is an integral part of our leadership team and requires strategic and operational leadership to the Recreation Venues branch, currently sitting at just under 50 team members.
  • Key responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of service, operational and business planning activities, managing the operating budget and ensuring a high standard of financial performance and accountability, providing expert advice regarding infrastructure and asset management planning, and overseeing the establishment and implementation of best practice contract and performance management frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing major community, cultural or recreation venues, as well as their financial management in managing large operational budgets.

They must possess exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to negotiate, communicate and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve ongoing improvements and objectives.

The successful candidate will be able to lead and manage high-performing teams, fostering a culture that develops and uplifts team capability.
