Employment Specialist Position

The role of an Employment Specialist involves supporting individuals with mental health issues to achieve their employment goals using evidence-based methods.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with service users and carers to identify their employment aspirations.
  • Utilize employer engagement techniques to secure or retain employment for individuals on behalf of the Community Treatment Team services.

This position requires a high level of adaptability, flexibility, and excellent communication skills to develop effective therapeutic partnerships.

Key Qualifications:
  • A degree-level education or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals who have mental health problems or similar user groups.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual who can work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams in Newcastle Upon Tyne Secondary Care Community Mental Health Teams.
