Role Opportunity: Mental Health Assistant

">The successful applicant will work alongside an Occupational Therapist to facilitate weekend group programs, supporting individuals with enduring mental health problems and psychosocial disability. Requirements:
">To be considered for this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. A level of physical fitness and interest in facilitating healthy lifestyle interventions is also essential.
">Able to motivate others, effective time management and organisational skills, engagement skills including ability to build rapport, ability to work in a team with effective communication, able to work within scope and take direction from OT.

">This role is based at the Intermediate Stay Mental Health Unit (ISMHU), located on the grounds of James Fletcher Hospital in Newcastle. Our unit provides 20 beds of non-acute mental health rehabilitation services, catering to individuals with enduring mental health problems and psychosocial disability.
