Aged Care Support Worker Position

We are seeking a qualified Aged Care Support Worker to join our team in the Hervey Bay area. As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing home help services and personal care to our aged care clients.
Your duties will include general housekeeping and making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping. You will also assist with personal care services such as getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day, assisting clients to take their medications, assisting with mobility and therapy goals, providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia, and providing social and emotional support.
You will work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems, and know when to ask your manager for help. A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle are required. A Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability is also essential.

- Award rate $33.82 per hour + Super + Paid KM's

We are looking for people who enjoy having variety in their day, are passionate about providing an excellent service, can build positive relationships with clients and their families, and don't sweat the small stuff. If you have experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that prior to commencement, every preferred candidate must complete a National Police check, Work Rights check and confirm their COVID-19 vaccination status (although not mandatory it is highly recommended).
