Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an apprentice baker. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced bakery environment, learning from an experienced chef and developing skills in bread making, pastry production, and cake decorating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of a variety of baked goods, including sourdough, croissants, cakes, and savoury items like pies and quiches
  • Using commercial ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters to produce high-quality products
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Learning from an experienced chef to develop your skills and knowledge in baking and pastry arts

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You should also be punctual, reliable, and willing to learn and take direction.

Benefits:

This is a full-time position with immediate start available, offering a paid award wage and opportunities for career development. Early starts (4:30 am or 5:30 am) and one weekend day required. TAFE training at William Angliss College or workplace training, whichever works best. Chef jackets and aprons provided.

About You:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about baking and willing to learn and take on new challenges. You should be eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or full working rights), hold a driver's licence, and be able to get to work for early starts.
