Electrical Specialist Role

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team in a site-based role. The successful candidate will work in a team on new machine site builds, meeting tight deadlines in a safe manner.

This permanent role offers access to OEM training and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a global company.

  • Ensure all new machine assembly is completed as scheduled, maintaining the quality of all machines assembled on site.
  • Complete onsite builds and commissioning for mining equipment as scheduled, setting and maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within your allocated area.
  • Liaise with the site supervisor and leading hand to ensure customer delivery targets are achieved.
  • Assist the site leading hand with other related duties.
  • Responsible for delivery and site assembly for mining machines.
  • Responsible to maintain build tooling, containers and Hydraulic Power Pack units.


To be successful in this role you will:


  • Evaluate and implement safety protocols prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Hold relevant Australian electrical trade qualifications.
  • Have previous experience with electrical systems on mining equipment, including assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of electrical systems, mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Show dedication to providing quality work, utilizing good communication skills.
  • Hold Forklift/dogging/Rigging and Working at Heights certifications.
