Job Title: Temporary Works Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe planning, design, implementation, and dismantling of temporary works on-site, while maintaining compliance with legal and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing all temporary works activities on the construction site
  • Ensuring that all temporary works designs are compliant with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Reviewing and approving temporary works designs and ensuring they meet project requirements
  • Liaising with design teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of temporary works activities
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures for temporary works
  • Monitoring the installation, use, and dismantling of temporary works to ensure compliance with approved designs and safe working practices
  • Providing technical advice and support to project teams regarding temporary works
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, including records of temporary works activities and compliance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with a large contractor in Australia, ideally delivering road, rail or bridge projects
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of temporary work activities
  • Sub-contractor management including scope of works creation and tendering
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Engineering, Engineering Science, Building or Construction
  • Ability to collaborate with the site foreman and site staff for project needs and to deliver project updates in daily pre-start meetings
  • Coordination between site and project office with current information, issues and risks
  • Demonstrated site experience would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
