The University of Western Australia is seeking an accomplished academic leader with engineering qualifications and a distinguished record of academic achievement to serve as the Dean and Head of School.

About the Role: The successful candidate will provide outstanding academic, strategic, and operational leadership to advance the School's performance across student experience, learning and teaching, research excellence, and external engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the School, promoting a culture of high performance and collaboration.\
  • Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government, industry partners, and professional bodies.\
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the School's reputation and profile.\
  • Mentor and develop staff to achieve their full potential.\
  • Work collaboratively with other University leaders to drive institutional goals and objectives.\
  • Represent the School and University at national and international levels.\\

Requirements:

  • PhD in Engineering or a related field.\
  • Proven track record of academic leadership and management.\
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to inspire confidence in others and build strong relationships.\
