Academic Leader Position

Join a leading University as an accomplished academic leader with engineering qualifications and a distinguished record of academic achievement.

The role requires exceptional leadership and strategic vision, with prior operational management for an organisational unit delivering research and teaching activities, such as a department or school.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding academic, strategic, and operational leadership to advance the School's performance across student experience, learning and teaching, research excellence, and external engagement.
  • Lead with vision and integrity, motivating and developing staff, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration, and demonstrating a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Building meaningful relationships with external stakeholders, including government, industry partners and professional bodies, will be central to your success.
Requirements
  • Distinguished record of academic achievement in engineering qualifications.
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic vision with prior operational management experience for an organisational unit delivering research and teaching activities.
  • A track record of developing partnerships with industry, government and the profession.
  • A commitment to mentoring the next generation of leaders and progressing diversity, equity and inclusion.
