We are seeking talented Rigging Professionals to join our VFX team.

About the Team

We are an Australian visual effects company with a global focus across film, television, and commercials. We partner with a variety of clients across a diverse slate.

About the Role

Our rigging artists produce high-quality rigging and skinning for our CG models. Working within our existing pipeline, you'll be using Maya to create rigs for creatures, characters, and props. You'll work closely with the Senior Rigger and animation team to help with character setup, management of assets through the pipeline, and other generalist tasks throughout the studio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Biped and quadruped rig setups for production
  • Managing prop assets in our pipeline
  • Retargeting motion capture animation to custom rigs
  • Working closely with production to schedule tasks and deliverables
  • A variety of other tasks as directed by Senior Rigger and Animator
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working on high-end TVCs or feature projects with photorealistic creatures/characters, including facial work
  • Experience rigging a variety of different bipeds and quadrupeds, vehicles, and props
  • Knowledge of anatomy, geometry, and animation
  • Solid knowledge of Maya and basic MEL
  • Experience with scripting in Python is a plus
  • Awesome troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Computer Animation, or another relevant area of study, and/or equivalent job experience
