Supply Chain Excellence Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Excellence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain department, you will play a critical role in enabling Starship's mission by managing an agile yet robust supply chain that drives business advantage.

About the Role:

  • Create strategic sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet targets for procurement, planning, and fulfillment, supplier development, quality, logistics, and inventory.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships to create tailored sourcing models that optimize the value of products and services supporting business unit requirements.
  • Communicate, manage, and drive compliance to sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and execute cost reduction projects, including planning, coordination with stakeholders, estimation, and project updates.
  • Perform advanced quantitative and business process analyses to identify financial impacts of decisions, cost improvement, and performance for assigned categories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers, measuring criteria such as delivery of business results, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
  • Conduct market research, perform benchmarking, and gather analysis for assigned categories.
  • Create contract documents in collaboration with the legal department, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Manage contracts to ensure supplier performance meets contract obligations.
  • Apply creativity and sound business reasoning to interpret contract application to business needs, maximizing value and cost savings benefits while lowering risk through strategic negotiations.
  • Identify and drive year-over-year cost optimization through reducing usage and eliminating waste within operations.
  • Establish preferred suppliers for assigned categories, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Create and implement management programs to develop, continuously improve, manage the performance of, and monitor KPIs of the supply base.
