Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll lead the evolution of our frontend architecture for Canva AI, ensuring seamless scaling to support feature integration across Canva into AI platforms.

  • Lead projects introducing AI to critical surfaces, e.g., bringing AI to editors for the first time ever.
  • Provide strong technical leadership, shaping best practices and frameworks for smooth integration of front-end capabilities from multiple teams.
  • Implement critical features and foster collaboration across Canva, positioning AI as a central hub for user-centric innovation.
Your Skills and Experience

You're an experienced technical leader who still writes code with passion. Bring a full-stack mindset with deep frontend expertise, be comfortable flexing into backend or ML as needed, and think strategically.

  • Hands-on, action-oriented, and impact-driven.
  • Mentor engineers and champion best practices to elevate frontend engineering standards across teams.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, driving high-impact projects with autonomy and minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrate ownership and thrive in leading by example, uplifting engineering standards, and promoting a collaborative culture.
