Job Title: Senior Frontend Architect

We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished Senior Frontend Architect to join our engineering team at Urban.com.au.

The successful candidate will have a strong focus on leading the architecture and development of a robust, scalable, and maintainable front-end platform using React and NextJS. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying features that enhance the user experience, working closely with our cross-functional team.

About the Role:

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in building a high-performing, scalable platform to support multiple brands and categories. Your expertise will be essential in helping us build a cutting-edge platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture and development of a robust, scalable, and maintainable front-end platform
  • Design and develop features that enhance the user experience
  • Work closely with our cross-functional team to deliver features on time
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on front-end development using React
  • Full-stack contributor with a solid understanding of API development and back-end technologies
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, as well as experience with modern front-end frameworks and tools
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code while being pragmatic and able to deliver value on a daily cadence
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
