Job Description:

We seek a skilled and compassionate professional to process claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring our customers receive the support they need during difficult times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate coverage and cause of loss on routine to complex claims, including policy review, interviewing parties associated with the loss, and gathering investigative documentation.
  • Handle injury and property damage claims, identifying exposures with significant severity and triaging them to the large loss team.
  • Provide accurate assessments and negotiate fair and efficient claims resolutions while managing costs, settling losses according to policy language, regulatory and statutory considerations, and within granted authority.
  • Maintain effective claim file documentation and diary system, monitoring diaries to achieve timely development of files and disposition of claims.
  • Recognize and pursue recovery opportunities, preparing submissions to SIU when indicated.
  • Assign and supervise field examiners and vendor resources, including independent adjusters, engineers, and other experts as needed.
Requirements:
  • 5 or more years in handling commercial liability claims.
  • Property and casualty license or Independent Adjuster license (willingness to become licensed within 30 days).
  • Litigation handling experience.
  • Understanding of concepts such as coverage, policy interpretation, exposure recognition, and liability determination.
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based environment and negotiate skillfully in difficult situations.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.
