Fire Communications Officer Role

This is a challenging and critical position within our Fire Department, requiring an individual with excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong commitment to community safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls, collect relevant information, and assess the risks associated with a situation.
  • Determine the appropriate response and resources to be dispatched, ensuring timely and effective action.
  • Dispatch and coordinate resources, maintaining and updating incident information in our computer-aided dispatch system.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or Australian Resident Status.
  • Valid Blue Card and supporting evidence.
  • Certificate III in Public Safety (Emergency Communications Centre Operations).
