About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our User Help Experience team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable systems, collaborating with stakeholders and designers to create world-class support experiences, and empowering and mentoring other engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable systems to enable users to quickly resolve issues and close the loop.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and designers to create world-class support experiences.
  • Empower and mentor other engineers to improve practices and methodologies for frontend and backend engineering.
  • Identify and improve practices and methodologies for frontend and backend engineering.
  • Collaborate within and across teams to create holistic solutions.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial experience developing complex, distributed applications writing services in Java.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems.
  • Disciplined coding practices and experience with code reviews and pull requests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and take ownership of projects and outcomes.
  • Big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
