Financial Project Specialist

This role will support finance and payroll projects within the Digital Reimagination program, bridging business needs and technology solutions. The Financial Project Specialist will analyse requirements, optimise finance and payroll processes, and ensure ERP/HCM system configurations align with compliance and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and turn them into functional & technical specifications.
  • Bring in functional expertise in Finance & Payroll toolset where applicable.
  • Support implementation partner through configuration of Finance ERP and Payroll HCM modules according to business requirements.
  • Perform solution testing to validate that solution is built as per requirements and agreed design.
  • Support training team delivery to end-users and provide ongoing support to resolve issues.
  • Plan and coordinate testing efforts, including user acceptance testing, to validate that implemented solutions effectively address business needs.
  • Contribute to data migration strategy from legacy systems to new ERP.
About You
  • Proven experience as Financial Project Specialist with end-to-end SDLC implementation ideally with finance ERP or Payroll HCM.
  • Domain knowledge of finance and payroll functions in education sector. Knowledge of various ERP modules such as GL, AP, AR, Invoicing and Billing and various HCM modules such as Payroll.
  • Skills in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, user stories, backlog management, and sprint planning.
  • Strong documentation skills, familiar with artifacts created along project lifecycle.
