The role of a Senior Physiotherapist in Critical Care/Acute Cardiorespiratory Medicine involves delivering specialist physiotherapy services to patients with cardiorespiratory conditions in the North West Region of Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and maintain optimal specialist inpatient physiotherapy services across various wards at North West Regional Hospital.
- Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment programs for patients requiring physiotherapy due to cardiorespiratory issues.
- Act as a resource person in designated areas of physiotherapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to enhance processes and procedures within the health service.
- Lead quality improvement projects and service development initiatives.
- Supervise and support junior physiotherapists and students as required.
- Extensive experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a complex environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge and clinical competencies relating to patient assessment and management in cardiorespiratory care.
Successful candidates will be registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and hold a tertiary qualification approved by the board.
