Culinary Expert

Fasta Pasta Mt Barker is seeking a full-time Culinary Expert to oversee the preparation and production of authentic Italian dishes.
We require a highly motivated and skilled chef to join our team on a full-time basis, ensuring consistently high-quality meals are produced while maintaining excellent kitchen management and staff training.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager and be responsible for:
- Planning, directing, and supervising food preparation and cooking to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Collaborating with the Manager to plan daily specials and menus for special catering events.
- Managing and training kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe execution.
- Teaching recipes to other kitchen staff and ensuring proper stock control.
- Supervising and delegating work to kitchen staff and trainees/apprentices, promoting teamwork and a positive kitchen environment.
This role requires strong planning skills, the ability to lead and inspire, and highly developed communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate must have formal qualifications and/or at least 2 years demonstrated experience working as a chef with experience in traditional Italian Cuisine.

About the Salary:
We offer a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $78,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Working hours will be Monday to Sunday, with a minimum requirement of 38 hours per week.
