Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook to join our team at C&K Mount Gravatt West Community Childcare Centre. As a culinary expert, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our young learners. Your role will involve menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Kitchens Operations Supervisor to ensure that all dietary needs and preferences are met. Our centre provides a spacious and natural environment, perfect for our little ones to learn and grow.

We foster strong ties with the local community and encourage parent involvement in our daily operations. You will be part of a vibrant and dynamic team that is committed to providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we require:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or related discipline) and Quality Food Supervisor Certificate is ideal, but we are happy to consider unqualified applicants with experience.
  • Previous experience in cooking for young children or within a large commercial kitchen, plus knowledge of menu planning for dietary and nutritional requirements.
  • Valid Blue Card and current Police Check (within three months or willingness to obtain these – C&K will cover the cost).
