This role requires a leader who can inspire, collaborate and innovate in teaching, research and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide academic leadership and foster excellence in innovative teaching, research and engagement within the discipline.
- Drive high-quality surgical education, lead original and impactful research, and contribute to curriculum design and delivery.
- Mentor staff and students, supervise Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidates, and contribute to governance through active participation in committees and leadership groups.
The successful candidate will have a medical qualification registrable in New South Wales, specialist training in a surgical discipline and a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent. A higher degree in a relevant discipline area is desirable as is an outstanding research record.
A minimum of 14 hours per week is required with the opportunity to negotiate a separate clinical appointment with the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
