Career Advancement Professional

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Career Advancement Professional in Enfield, SA.

As a leading employment services provider, we support people of all backgrounds to obtain suitable employment or education opportunities.

We strive to overcome non-vocational barriers that impact their ability to pursue such opportunities.

In this role, you will play a key part in assisting customers to set and achieve their goals while meeting the contractual requirements of an employment service provider.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges
  • Delivering coaching to improve employability skills, confidence, and career planning
  • Preparing quality resumes, cover letters, and supporting the job application process
  • Finding suitable employment opportunities for customers and advocating on their behalf
  • Referring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health, and financial counselling
  • Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment

You will be required to document customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support

You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and goals, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve success.

Coaching and Development

You will deliver coaching sessions to improve employability skills, confidence, and career planning, helping customers to identify and pursue new opportunities.

Resume Preparation and Job Application Support

You will prepare high-quality resumes and cover letters, supporting customers throughout the job application process.

Employment Opportunity Sourcing

You will find suitable employment opportunities for customers, advocating on their behalf to secure the best outcomes.

Mentoring and Support

You will provide additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment, helping customers to settle into their new roles.

Documentation and Reporting

You will maintain accurate records of customer information and progress, reporting back to Workskil Australia and Government systems as required.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and a passion for helping others
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong administration background, including data entry, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Meeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute
