About the Role

As a Service Manager you will oversee the delivery of Family Intervention Services to children, young people, and their families, providing expertise and support to other teams across the state.

The key objective of this position is to support staff in their work with clients of Child Safety Service Centres where ongoing intervention with a family is required, assisting clients to exit the child protection system and prevent families from re-entering the system. This role aligns with our organisation's mission.

This role requires clinical and management responsibility for the provision of high-quality services and program development, involving supervision of staff, service development, and liaison with government departments and other stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; post-graduate qualification highly regarded
  • Significant experience in clinical and therapeutic management of clients with complex care needs, 5 years and more
  • Demonstrated achievements in providing leadership in a related field, leading a professional clinical and therapeutic service, demonstrating contemporary management practices, best practice methods, and quality improvement and operation in an integrated service environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Queensland child protection system including relevant legislation such as the Child Protection Act 1999
  • Understanding of and commitment to our organisation's philosophy, ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote our values and mission
