RoadTek Central Queensland, a commercial business within the Department of Transport and Main Roads, is seeking a high-performing and innovative Construction Supervisor for Structures Inspectors to join our team on a permanent basis.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the delivery of inspection, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects for civil infrastructure, ensuring quality outcomes and meeting client and business objectives. This includes supervising the delivery of civil infrastructure projects related to structures maintenance and rehabilitation, as well as assisting in the effective supervision, programming, and utilization of resources to achieve project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the delivery of civil infrastructure projects related to structures preservation, including the Structures Maintenance Performance Contract, through all phases of the project cycle.
- Implement the Site Discovery Process where required.
- Maintain Asbestos awareness and knowledge to enable identification and sampling.
- Apply standard drawings, specifications, supplementary specifications, and other related job documentation to confirm work compliance and quality.
- Assist with the management of the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including the Structures Maintenance Performance Contract, through all phases of the project cycle.
- Coordinate and manage personnel and resources during emergency events.
- Organize material delivery and engage suppliers, undertaking supplier performance reviews as required.
- Assist the Project Manager by programming Structures Maintenance Performance Contract (SMPC) inspections.
- A current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
- Significant previous experience in Structures Inspections and either structures maintenance or construction.
- Possession of a Certificate III in Civil Construction applicable to modern transport infrastructure projects, plus core Leadership and Management competencies.
- Participation in Civil Trades Development Program (CTDP) is mandatory.
- Possession of a White Card (Construction Induction).
- Certificate IV in Civil Supervision (Leadership and Management competencies) or be able to complete within 18 months of commencement.
